long time ago !!!
Sixtomat light meter...........................................................Offers?
Magic Lantern (a REAL collector's
item)..........................Offers?
Kershaw's Lantern, originally sold through Philip
Harris & Co. Ltd, Birmingham, England.
Fitted with Osram 1000 watt lamp and original
mains wire, (before the days of mains 'cables'...!).
Complete with lens and approximately 100 4" slides
in wooden storage box.
These sell through the London auction houses
for a lot of money.
ADM. PATT. No. M361 Receiver......................................SOLD!
Regenerative receiver made by Marconi, circa
1940, a prime candidate for renovation,
the only other one I know of is in the Collingwood
Maritime Museum in the south of England !
I have since been emailed by Ton Hulst in the
Netherlands to say he recently found one in an
old Windmill so that makes 3 !
FDK TM-56B VHF scanning receiver..................................SOLD!
Two crystalled banks - one bank of 12 tuned manually
(7 crystals fitted) and one bank of four
either tuned manually or scanned (3 crystals
fitted). I can probably find more crystals...
Operates off 12 volts, offered for less than
the cost of the crystals !
Heat shrink sleeving....
I've miles and miles of heat shrink sleeving
(well hundreds of feet anyway...) in three colours, green, yellow
and red. This is from an antenna company
who used it to cover loading coils on mobile antennas. The label
says 'Size = 20mm x 0.10mm', it comes 'laid
flat' and would probably reduce on heating to approximately
half size (?). I was selling this 'per
meter' at one of the local Rallies some months ago but it's really not
worth the trouble and I would prefer to sell
the lot. Mail me for more information or sample.
Joymatch lllb antenna
tuner......................................................SOLD
!
Remember this? Antenna tuner, well strictly
speaking an antenna matcher... made by Partridge Electronics in
Broadstairs and dating back to the days of the
Joystick antenna...
Russian U4324 multimeter............................................Reduced
to £10
Another bit of history. A Soviet multimeter,
quite popular some years ago, probably around the time of the
Rigonda portable receivers and the Vega television...
This one reads volts (dc & ac) up to 900 volts, current
(dc & ac) up to 3 amps and resistance up
to 1k x 100 ohms. The dial is marked 1974...
MFJ-962D VersaTuner 3............................................................SOLD!
High power "T" network roller inductor tuner
with built-in antenna switching, RF power/SWR metering and
balun. This tuner is virtually unused and
obviously is in 'as new' condition, complete with Instruction Manual,
original polystyrene packing and unmarked box.
A saving of £100 on a new one.
Yaesu FRA-7700 Antenna
tuner..................................Reduced
to £15
Small combined antenna tuner unit/preamp designed
for use with the Yaesu 7700 series of receivers but obviously suitable
for general use. (I used this for medium wave DX'ing with a Yaesu Ft ONE
for years).
I suspect that originally the unit derived it's power from the receiver
and I have modified it to operate from 240 mains with a small built in psu.
As far as I know it still works but is a bit untidy so needs some 'tender loving
care'...
Please will the gentleman from the USA who emailed regarding the above mail me again - my email spam remover was a bit over enthusiastic and deleted your mail before I could save it and reply...
Yaesu YC-355D Frequency
counter.....................................SOLD
!
Digital frequency counter by Yaesu, 30 - 200
Mhz., ac/dc operation. Can't confirm whether it works or
not as I don't have the power lead, (it looks
like a fairly standard 4 pin connector). Appears to be in good
cosmetic condition but needs a clean. Amateur
test equipment - would look good in the shack!
(20/02/03 - Power lead has appeared so it will
obviously accompany the counter...)
BBC monitor loudspeakers LS3/5A..............................................SOLD!
I have a pair, i.e 2, of these highly thought-of
loudspeakers. These were designed by the BBC and were used for
OB (outside broadcast) work. The assembly
and testing of these loudspeakers was carried out by a number of
outside companies like Audiomaster and Falcon.
The pair on offer was made by RAM and carry consecutive serial
numbers, having obviously been purchased as a
pair. Any HiFi enthusiast will appreciate the quality of these units
which are still in production and remain a reference
standard loudspeaker in their class. For the purist maybe...
For more information see http://hi-fidelity.com/ls35astory.htm
Reslo microphone..........................................................................SOLD!
Reslo ribbon microphone, Beatles era, as supplied
with Ferrorgraph professional recording equipment. In

A lovely bit of history - and an excellent mike
to boot...

Boxed and in virtually
'as new' condition with instructions.

10 meters and probably other hf bands as well.
Believed working.

a number of
the smaller items and save
on postage?
Land Rover wheel and tyre.........................................................Offers?
Land Rover 5 spoke alloy wheel and Good Year
Wrangler HP 215/65R16 tyre. I suspect this combination
has never been used and appears immaculate.
I cannot say what model of Land Rover it fits or further identify
the wheel. It does carry some markings
on the inside and if you know what they mean I can look. Being Land
Rover it must be worth a fair bit - make me an
offer and preferably collect...
I checked with a local Tyre depot and they tell
me the tyre alone is worth ~£100...

I have an American Mackay Radio
Type 138 marine receiver and am looking for some information
on it (handbook, circuits - anything).
I just cannot find anyone, anywhere, who has even heard of
this receiver and I cannot believe
I have the only one in existence !!! (the 128 is mentioned
on the
'net - that's an old regen
receiver and not the same as my 138...). Mackay sold their marine
division
to CSF in France some years ago
but they just ignore my emails.. Maybe if I could speak French...
Thanks to those who emailed me
web addresses where I might get a manual...
Many thanks to all those who replied
- I've yet to obtain a manual but it's looking promising...
